R Series precision balances are designed for routine mass determination in laboratory and related weighing workflows. The range combines 1 mg or 10 mg readability with capacities extending from small laboratory samples to loads of up to 10 100 g.

The series includes balances with internal automatic or external adjustment. PS R2.H variants add IP 54 protection for environments where the instrument may be exposed to condensed dust or water drops, while retaining the data-management and communication functions of the R Series.

Key features and benefits

LCD display and direct function access

The backlit LCD display includes an additional text line for information such as the product name, tare value and operating prompts. Dedicated keyboard buttons provide direct access to databases, basic weighing functions and programmable operations.

Integrated databases and weighing records

The balance manages five databases:

Up to 5000 weighments
Up to 100 tare values
ALIBI memory for up to 100 000 weighing records

Databases can be imported and exported using a USB storage device. The stored results can subsequently be used for documentation and analysis.

Communication and system integration

Standard interfaces include 2× RS232, USB-A and USB-B, with Wi-Fi® available as an option. The USB interface supports communication with a computer when the appropriate driver is installed. The balances can also cooperate with the THBR 2.0 system for monitoring ambient conditions.

Under-pan weighing is also supported with a dedicated hook, allowing loads with non-standard shapes or dimensions to be suspended below the balance.

Materials and protection

The standard PS R2 and PS R1 balances have a plastic housing and stainless-steel weighing pan. PS R2.H models provide IP 54 protection and are designed for operation where condensed dust or water drops may be present.

Model selection guide

Choose PS R2 for routine laboratory weighing where internal automatic adjustment is required. Models cover capacities up to 10 100 g.
Choose PS R2.H when internal adjustment is required together with IP 54 protection for more demanding operating conditions.
Choose PS R1 when external adjustment is suitable for the weighing procedure.
Select a 1 mg model for lower-capacity weighing requiring finer resolution, or a 10 mg model for higher-capacity routine weighing.
