The MA 5Y.IC series includes several models with different weighing capacities, readability levels and heating technologies.
All models feature a 10″ ELLIPSIS touchscreen terminal, internal automatic adjustment and advanced user and data management functions.
The MA 5Y.IC Moisture Analyzer is designed for laboratories requiring precise moisture determination together with comprehensive user management, electronic documentation and modern data handling. The instrument combines precision weighing, controlled sample drying and the ELLIPSIS operating platform in a single laboratory system.
Compared with earlier moisture analyzer generations, the MA 5Y.IC series places greater emphasis on workflow management, traceability and secure handling of analytical data while retaining flexible drying methods for a wide range of sample types.
The MA 5Y.IC features an internal automatic adjustment mechanism that allows the instrument to verify and adjust its weighing system without requiring an external calibration mass.
This simplifies routine operation and supports measurement consistency throughout daily laboratory use.
The analyzer is equipped with the RADWAG ELLIPSIS terminal featuring a 10″ capacitive colour touchscreen.
The interface supports configurable widgets, multiple information windows and intuitive navigation. Frequently used functions can be placed directly on the home screen, while process graphs, instrument status and measurement history remain immediately accessible.
The ELLIPSIS terminal incorporates the Ambient Light system, which communicates the current instrument status using coloured light signals.
Different colours indicate process progress, completed measurements, warnings or other operating conditions, allowing the instrument status to be recognised without continuously observing the display.
The Live Note function allows users to attach text notes directly to completed measurements and reports.
Additional comments can therefore become part of the measurement documentation without requiring external records.
The MA 5Y.IC supports several user identification methods:
The selected authentication method can be adapted to laboratory security requirements.
RFID technology can be used not only for operator identification but also for recognising products and formulation ingredients stored in the instrument database. This reduces manual data entry and helps standardise routine analytical procedures.
According to RADWAG, the MA 5Y.IC is a standalone instrument meeting the requirements of 21 CFR Part 11 and EU GMP Annex 11. Supported functions include:
These features facilitate documentation in laboratories operating under regulated quality systems.
The analyzer provides four drying profiles:
The step profile enables drying in three programmable stages, while four finish modes (automatic, manual, time-defined and user-defined) allow the analytical procedure to be adapted to different sample characteristics.
Communication interfaces include:
Measurement reports, databases and analytical data can be transferred to external systems or shared with compatible devices.
