MA X7.IC.A moisture analyzers are designed for gravimetric determination of moisture content, dry mass and related parameters in laboratory samples. During analysis, the instrument continuously measures sample mass while the material is dried under controlled conditions, enabling fast and repeatable moisture determination.

The series combines programmable drying methods, integrated databases and automatic chamber operation with an internal automatic adjustment system. This configuration is intended for laboratories requiring both advanced moisture analysis functions and convenient day-to-day instrument verification.

Key Features and Benefits

Internal automatic adjustment

The defining feature of the MA X7.IC.A series is its internal automatic adjustment mechanism. Unlike the MA X7.A series, which uses external adjustment, calibration can be performed automatically without requiring an external mass.

This simplifies routine operation and helps maintain measurement accuracy throughout everyday laboratory use.

Automatic drying chamber

The drying chamber opens and closes automatically using either a function button or built-in proximity sensors.

Consistent chamber movement improves repeatability, reduces operator contact with hot components and supports ergonomic operation during routine moisture analysis.

Flexible drying methods

The instrument offers four drying profiles:

  • Standard
  • Mild
  • Fast
  • Step

The step profile enables drying in three programmable temperature stages, while the mild profile is intended for heat-sensitive materials and the fast profile accelerates drying of samples with higher moisture content.

Depending on the selected configuration, drying temperatures reach up to 160 °C, with optional models available for applications requiring temperatures up to 250 °C.

Configurable process completion

Four finish modes allow the drying process to match different analytical procedures:

  • Automatic
  • Manual
  • Time-defined
  • User-defined

These modes allow the endpoint to be selected according to moisture loss, elapsed time or sample stability.

7″ touchscreen interface

The capacitive colour touchscreen provides direct access to drying methods, measurement functions and stored products.

Programmable hotkeys, configurable information fields and customised labels allow frequently used functions to be arranged according to laboratory requirements.

Product and measurement databases

The integrated information system stores products, users, customers, drying programs, environmental conditions, measurement reports and weighing records.

Associating predefined drying methods with individual products helps standardise routine analyses and minimise manual parameter entry.

Communication and data handling

The MA X7.IC.A provides RS232, USB-A, USB-B, Ethernet and Wi-Fi® interfaces for communication with external systems.

Measurement reports, databases and drying programs can be transferred between compatible instruments or exported for documentation and further processing.

Process documentation

The instrument supports GLP/GMP reporting and sample traceability functions.

Optional accessories are available for verification of drying temperature and moisture indication.

Model selection guide

  • For laboratories preferring automatic internal adjustment: choose the MA X7.IC.A series.
